La Luna, Halifax ♥

I have decided to change the theme of my blog with a focus on reviewing cafes, bars and restaurants; giving my honest opinions on what they have to offer. Obviously everyone has their own taste in food, but I love to read other peoples opinions before I go try somewhere new and I love eating out as much as the next person!

Every week I will blog about somewhere different, mainly in fax and around West Yorkshire, but now and again, when I venture out, I will let you know about any hidden gems I find.

So for this weeks ‘Food Talk with Mackenzie’ (F.T.W.M) I am going to start with one of my favourite and many other peoples favourite places in Halifax, La Luna. A place I rush to for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.

La Luna is situated in Westgate Arcade, a 10 minute walk from the bus station and train station. It has an outdoor terrace area, with heating and also lots of seating inside. It has a warm, friendly atmosphere and serves great food. I have never had a bad meal here!

There is something for everyone here from breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, fajitas, pasta and even tapas! The tapas is a fab idea if you struggle to decide what to have, as this way you can try little bits of everything, including their halloumi fries!

If you love to go out for breakfast, or brunch with the girls, they have some great options, from hash brown and halloumi stacks to a full english, pancakes and more. Washed down with coffee or why not an Aperol Spritz or even a glass of fizz.

If you go for your lunch I really recommend their crayfish wrap, fillet steak ciabatta or get a couple of starters as tapas. I love their greek mezze and salt and pepper squid. You won’t be disappoint! If you are wanting something bigger or going for an evening meal their lasagna is stunning, along with their venison main.

The menu is so versatile, you can have sharing tapas between you to start with, as a main for yourself or get lots of tapas as mains between friends. Or just get the usual main and starter or even main and dessert, as their tiramisu is incredible.

Overall, La Luna is a place for everyone, even the fussiest of eaters! With a great atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot for families, friends and even a date night!

If this sounds like your kind of place, go check out their website and make a trip, you won’t regret it! –

Hope you enjoyed and let me know your opinions of La Luna in the comments!

Every Friday at 5pm expect some great reviews, good or bad, of all the places I go to.

M ♥
