Sugar & Layer Bakery’s Traybakes ♥ (gifted)

(Gifted)

I found Sugar and Layer Bakery on Instagram and they kindly gifted me some of their tray-bakes. I couldn’t wait to try them as they looked so good on Instagram and their bakery in super cute and floral. So here is my honest opinion of Sugar & Layer’s tray- bakes.

Sugar and Layer is an adorable pink and floral bakery based in Clitheroe, but not to worry, if you can’t get to the bakery they also deliver. The bakery loves to support their local farmers and communities in order to create their delicious treats. They even have award-winning cupcakes, including a bacon and maple syrup one – YUM!

Starting with my favourite traybake, it had to be their brownie. A simple chocolate brownie, which was slightly crispy on the outside, but gooey and perfect in the centre. It was rich with chocolate and left me wanting more. I could have easily demolished a whole tray.

Next had to be the white chocolate and raspberry blondies. This is my favourite combo when it comes to any sweet treat, whether this be cookies, muffins and now blondies. The blondies had a lovely texture however they could of done with more white chocolate and raspberries, as I love mine to be packed with both in every single bite. Nevertheless they are great if you are craving something sweet!

On to the rocky road. Not your usual rocky road as all the marshmallows, biscuits etc. was on the top, including popcorn. I 100% prefer it all being in smaller chunks, mixed in to the chocolate, so you can get a bit of everything in every mouthful, instead of it just placed on the top. However I loved the addition of popcorn (this should be in all rocky roads) and would be the perfect tray bake to order for kids parties.

Finally is their cookie dough slab, as you can see in the photo below it was cover in icing with sprinkles/glitter. If I was to say I dislike anything it would have to be icing, I pick it off every cake! Plus I always think tray bakes look better untouched, maybe a drizzle of chocolate as a topping, as I think being able to see all the ingredients of a traybake makes them look so indulgent, mmmmm! Nevertheless I tried it, the icing made this super sweet but the cookie dough itself was so good, I could of sat with a tub of it and a spoon.

I would 100% go visit Sugar & Layer Bakery to see how cute and pretty it is, for their brownies and also to try their award-winning cupcakes. They also offer custom cakes and decorating lessons. The cupcakes look INSANE on their Instagram so make sure to head over and check them out! You will be drooling by the end of it!

I hope you enjoyed another review and let me know if you visit Sugar and Layer!
