Let’s Try not to be too Cheesy…
My first guest blog! I stumbled across Food Talk with Mackenzie not so long back, and if you want to read honest, constructive reviews, then this is the page to follow.
So, where do you begin with calorie consuming cheesecakes? I’m not one to particularly speak about my own business publicly, but I thought that it would be nice for people to understand what goes into running a business.
Starting off as the chief supplier of family cheesecakes in July last year, to supplying Halifax and the surrounding areas with my creations; my business, Lewis’ Cheesecakes, has grown more than I could have ever hoped and I am more than thankful for that.
I still fit cheesecakes in around working two other jobs. A weekend to myself is something I have learnt just won’t happen now. But, the main thing is that I still enjoy making my little delights. To make money doing something that you enjoy is anyone’s dream.
I won’t make you read pages and pages of waffle about how starting your own business is easy because it really isn’t. In fact, it is one of the hardest things I have EVER done. Yet, the satisfaction of the positive reviews I receive, are what makesit completely worth it. Almost as if the hard work is paying off.
The people that I have had the chance to meet and speak to since transitioning from a hobby to business, is one of the main reasons that I still enjoy it like it’s the first day. I never thought that after less than a year, I’d have grown so much to a point that I’m looking at my own premises and I have every person who has supported me; by sharing my social media posts, placing orders with me, and the other businesses that have the trust in me to supply them on a weekly basis, to thank for this!
Every day is a HUGE learning curve but, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
