After yesterdays madness, I am hoping Day 7 goes up with ease and shares with you a couple of items I have tried from Costa so far. I wanted to try the full menu, but there is only so much eating/drinking I can do. So here is my favourites this year. From their hot drinks, to toasted sandwiches, Costa nail it every year.
Irish Velvet and Cream Latte
This is rich, creamy and delicious. It tastes like an alcoholic Irish coffee without their being any alcohol, perfect for these cold Christmas days. I would say its a little sweet so I couldn’t drink a lot of it, but its a great treat for now and again.
Turkey and the Trimmings Toastie
What a toastie this is! The perfect mix of turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, bacon and topped with cheese. Its a great winter warmer and makes the perfect lunch. Not the healthiest of lunches but its Christmas so it is allowed.
Oh shock, another mince pie. I might have finally been convert to a mince pie fan, well maybe not. This one was not terrible, pastry was buttery and the filling was well flavoured. I could have just done with more of it. I also think the mince pie would have been nicer warm, but a great accompaniment to any of their festive drinks this year.
White Chocolate and Honeycomb Trillionaires
I love a millionaires shortbread and I love white chocolate and honeycomb so this was perfect for me. It was very very sweet but delicious. Gooey caramel, buttery shortbread, toped with creamy white chocolate – perfect!
There are so many other Christmas options, including plenty of Vegan options. So make sure you head in this Christmas and try them out. They have even added new alternative dairy-free milk options, just in time for Christmas!
Thats it, a full week of blogmas is over already and I am loving sharing them with you, I also can’t wait for a break over Christmas and the New Year. I hope you liked day 7.
